Uses of Funds

Our total operating costs are approximately €1.35 million a year. Labor accounts for 75% of these costs because our residents require high levels of care and supervision 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  Over ¾ of our employees earn at or near legally mandated minimum wages, the only exceptions are our nurses and managers, none of whom earn more than €1,500/month in take home pay. Donations in kind of food, fuel and consumables are the only significant means of reducing operating costs, almost all of which are inelastic.
